About our Golf Club
Founded in 1966 St Audrys is located just a stone’s throw from the delightful market town of Woodbridge in Suffolk and provides a unique 9-hole, par 60 course nestled in picturesque parkland surroundings. With over 200 members, including men’s, ladies and senior sections, it presents a perfect layout for those new to the game, wanting to improve, or with limited time to play. It also attracts lapsed golfers getting back into the game and more experienced players looking for a less physically demanding round.
The course is complemented by a small yet charming clubhouse with enviable views over the course, providing post-round refreshments and a full programme of social events.
Role Overview
Supported by a remote Finance Officer and a Systems Administrator we are seeking a self-motivated and highly organised individual to manage the day-to-day golfing operation of the club to ensure the highest standards of service for both our members and visitors experience. Working closely with the Board of Directors the successful candidate will also be a key driver of the club’s strategic and operational objectives, especially growth and retention.
Key Responsibilities
* Providing the focal point and 'front of house' for the club and its first point of contact for the business.
* Management of daily golf operations, including tee-time scheduling, member services, competitions and event coordination. Provide regular updates for members and other stakeholders to encourage their engagement with the club's activities.
* Promotion of the club to encourage new membership and visitor business, utilising effective communication via local marketing and social media.
* Ensuring compliance with club policies and procedures, to maintain a welcoming and professional atmosphere for members, guests and visitors.
* Together with the Hospitality Director support and encourage the club's volunteers.
The Candidate
* An organised and self-motivated individual with ability to work independently. Able to maximise their visibility to members, adopting flexible hours of work to meet the demands.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service.
* A sound understanding of the game of golf - rules, handicaps, memberships etc.
* Good IT skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office and associated applications. Familiarity with golf management software would be an advantage but training can be provided.
Benefits and Perks
* Salary circa £18,000 per annum depending on experience.
* Holiday entitilement of 17 days per annum.
